Frequently Asked Questions

What type of ceremonies do you perform?

I am a registered civil marriage celebrant, meaning I perform non-religious marriage ceremonies. The way the ceremony is conducted is up to you. Together we will discuss your needs to create something special just for you. I also perform commitment ceremonies, renewal of vows, naming ceremonies and funerals.

How far do you travel?

I am happy to travel as far as I need to for your event. I will travel up to 50km outside of Shailer Park in any direction for no extra cost (extra kms may incur a small travel fee). This includes our initial consultation and the event day itself.

How much notice do you need?

I recommend booking as early as possible to avoid missing out on your chosen dates. For weddings, legally you will be required to provide at least 32 days notice for submitting your legal documents prior to getting married.

Do we need to see you after the wedding?

No. You are not required to meet with me after the ceremony. Any paperwork will be signed on the day and submitted by me. However I would love to keep in touch! So please feel free to send me an email at anytime and please add some of your photos from the day! I would love to see them!

What do you provide?

On the day I will provide two white Americana resin folding chairs and a signing table with a tablecloth colour of your choice. A signing pen and a spare back-up. I will bring a microphone and portable speaker system. I also have a few decorational items which you may wish to have use of. If you have your own special pen or table etc, you may use your own on the day, you are not obligated to use mine.

Do you do rehearsals?

If you require a rehearsal, it can be arranged. You do not have to have a rehearsal if you do not wish to, and it does not have to be done on location either. I will travel to rehearsals for a one hour period and this travel will be included in the booking price unless it exceeds 50km outside of Shailer Park. Rehearsal will also need to be booked to avoid any clashes with other clients.

How long does a ceremony take?

A ceremony can be as long or as short as you would like. We will design your ceremony in the lead up to your day and work around your time frames. Most ceremonies will take 20-30 minutes.

When is payment due?

I am happy to accept tentative bookings free of charge and hold them for 7 days. After that time to maintain that booking I will require a $100 non-refundable deposit. The balance of your ceremony is not due until 30 days prior to your event day. I am happy to accept deposit payments over the duration.
